This position will configure and implement high volume data protection services (backup and restoration) on our Enterprise Cloud platform, leveraging multiple technologies with Commvault, Cohesity, and Zerto on multi-tenant VMware vSphere technology. Successful candidates will have a passion to grow their technical knowledge and capability of a variety of systems and platforms.
Partner with project managers, clients and internal staff at regular intervals to ensure expectations are set and that appropriate attention is being paid to client projects
Ensure installation, configuration and final delivery of our Data Protection services according to the standard technical implementation guidelines
Ensure appropriate documentation of the implementation is generated and maintained for effective hand-off and transition to the Operations Support Center (OSC)
2+ years Systems Administrator or Engineer operating in a Microsoft or Unix/Linux environment.
2+ years experience with VMware or Microsoft virtualization in a production environment.
Demonstrated level of competency with:
Windows operating systems (Primary focus on Windows 2012R2/2016/2019)
VMware vSphere v5.5 through v6.7
Enterprise backup solutions. Commvault or Cohesity experience is a plus.
Familiarity with basic UNIX commands (Primary focus on Red Hat and CentOS)
Familiarity with basic networking principles, TCP/IP routing and switching, VLANs and subnets, and firewall rules.
The ideal candidate may possess one or multiple industry technical certifications from IT-related vendors like Microsoft and VMware.
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screen
Superior time-management skills are a must
Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to identify and resolve challenging situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding service and response time working with customers
Passion for technology and a drive to continue to learn
Flexibility to be available for occasional night and weekend implementation projects when required.
