DevOps Engineer

Expedient is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to join our Information Systems team in Cleveland Ohio. This position will work collaboratively with the Development team to design, build and maintain infrastructure, automation tools and monitoring capabilities for cloud native applications. The Information Systems team utilizes the latest SaaS and cloud-native technologies and practices to build and maintain distributed software solutions that enable clients and internal teams to collaborate, sell, deliver and support Expedient’s cloud services and solutions. These applications include CRM, ERP, billing and revenue management, analytics and more. The DevOps Engineer will work on the team that designs and deploys these systems.   We are looking to hire this position in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland OH or in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities:       

  • Work as part of a Scrum team to design, build and scale infrastructure running critical web applications
  • Work with the latest open-source projects to implement and improve CI/CD processes
  • Build platform observability, monitoring and alerting capabilities
  • Build automation and scaling capabilities
  • Field, review and address day-to-day infrastructure issues
  • Required skills: Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, NGINX, CI/CD automation platform such as Jenkins
  • Other skills: Rancher, Linkerd, Grafana, Prometheus, Argo CD, Redis, PHP, MySQL

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years DevOps, systems administration or development experience
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Outstanding troubleshooting/problem solving abilities
  • Ability to clearly document implemented solutions
  • Ability to work with different teams as well as independently
