Art Director

This position is responsible for the overall creative development and integration of the Expedient brand across the various traditional, digital communication and marketing channels. The Art Director will work effectively in a collaborative and service-oriented environment; conceptualizing and overseeing work that will redefine and enhance creativity in marketing and communications for Expedient. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the role of the Art Director is to enhance the visibility, awareness, and distinctiveness of Expedient as a leader in the Infrastructure as a Services (IAAS) space.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and oversee strategic brand positioning, development and implementation of creative materials for Expedient, ensuring that the marketing strategy is integrated throughout
  • Create and develop compelling marketing communications and sales materials for the organization, including but not limited to: print, digital (email, banner ads, landing pages, social media content), direct mail, and events
  • Maintain templates for collateral, direct mail and digital campaigns
  • Create concepts and prototypes in print and digital form
  • Update existing collateral, mailers, and other promotional items upon request
  • Create digital and print presentations for senior level executives (PowerPoint, boards)
  • Handle projects from brainstorming through execution, including utilizing a project management service on all stages of any given project
  • Establish workflow and creative standards for internal staff and outside vendors/contractors
  • Direct innovative art and graphic approaches and solutions while managing finances (budget), timelines and other resources
  • Maintain pipeline of external resources to provide graphics, design, printing and consulting services as needed


Requirements

  • No less than 5 years of experience in a lead role developing impactful, strategically focused campaigns (able to show portfolio and/or previous design work)
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and turn an idea into a fully integrated and successful campaign according to project timelines and deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in both the B2B and B2C markets as well as experience working with complex technical concepts and/or products
  • Knowledge of interaction, design, user-centered experience design, brand development and digital marketing 
  • Enthusiasm and understanding of measurement and iteration for improvement
  • Excellent presentation skills and communications abilities, both internal and external
  • Superior prioritizing and time-management skills are an absolute must as managing multiple deadlines are a critical part of this role
  • Strong leadership skills (low ego/high collaboration) with experience guiding teams
  • Aware of the production process for initiatives of various size across multiple media platforms from video, to web and mobile
  • Ability to link creative to strategy and strategy to creative
  • Strong profiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with an emphasis in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of illustration and typography
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel)
