Recruiting Specialist

Expedient is a provider of multi-cloud platforms, data hosting and security and data center infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solutions. We are hiring a Recruiting Specialist to join our HR/Recruiting team. This is a fast-paced, highly visible, full-time position that will provide excellent opportunities to hone your recruiting skills in a technical environment.

The Recruiting Specialist will partner with managers across all Expedient’s geographical markets to source, screen and fill positions in multiple disciplines, primarily on the IT/technical side.  In addition to recruiting, this role will manage administrative tasks and processes for on-boarding new hires, compile hiring metrics/reporting and will work with vendors as needed.   This position offers a competitive salary, generous benefits, flexible work schedule on a growing recruiting team at our Pittsburgh, PA operational headquarters.   

This position requires 2 to 3 years of work experience recruiting for a wide variety of positions. 


  • Publish job postings using internal and external tools, including applicant tracking system and online job boards
  • Collect and screen applications for all positions to identify potentially qualified candidates
  • Conduct initial telephone interviews with potentially qualified applicants and provides results/recommendations to hiring manager(s)
  • Support hiring managers in the selection process by scheduling follow-up interviews, assisting with reference checks, and other administrative tasks necessary to complete the process
  • Attend job fairs and other events aimed at raising awareness about career opportunities and the Expedient brand
  • Source passive candidates using social media, job boards and other data to build relationships and create a talent pipeline
  • Manage the new hire process to ensure a positive and efficient on-boarding experience
  • Assist in employee engagement and employee retention initiatives
  • Promote company’s reputation as a Best Place to Work


  • 2 to 3 years of experience in recruiting; either agency or corporate
  • Bachelor’s degree with preference given to those in a related field
  • Hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system (JazzHR; Taleo; Jobvite)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated successful experience in technical recruiting
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute quickly and effectively
  • Flexibility to speak with potential candidates after traditional business hours
