Data Center Acquisition Associate

Expedient is a fast-growing provider of multi-cloud solutions in data centers across the US.  We are expanding across North America and are seeking a Data Center Acquisition Associate to help execute on our market expansion strategy.  This is a great opportunity for someone with 4-6 years of commercial real estate or data center colocation experience to help expand our North American footprint and learn more about identifying data center acquisition targets while supporting transaction processes.

The Data Center Acquisition Associate is a mid-level, individual contributor role focused on identifying acquisition targets and securing initial meetings with companies who operate internal data centers. Reporting to the Vice President of Market Expansion, the Data Center Acquisition Associate will be an important member of Expedient’s new market expansion team.

This position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped bonus, and the opportunity to directly impact Expedient’s growth objectives. 

Who We’re Looking For in a Data Center Acquisition Associate

  • Experience in commercial real estate or enterprise colocation transactions (data center knowledge is a plus, but not required)
  • Proven track record of success and superior time-management skills
  • Knowledge of market and industry trends
  • Bachelors’ degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office and other productivity tools
  • Skilled in navigating complex business relationships and the ability to become a strategic advisor and thought leader for our prospects and clients
  • Strong business development and client engagement skills
  • Highly responsive with a strong attention to detail

What You’ll Be Doing as a Data Center Acquisition Associate

  • Identify enterprise data center acquisition opportunities through outbound communication and networking with various entities who are familiar with corporate data center locations in our target markets.  These include, but are not limited to, real estate brokers, data center maintenance providers, and critical infrastructure sales and service companies
  • Direct prospecting and securing initial meetings with data center acquisition targets
  • Drive awareness of our expansion strategy and generate leads through Expedient’s channel partners
  • Support data center acquisition workflow through the collection of financial and operational data for target data centers while working with our financial analysts to structure profitable financial proposals
