Software Compliance & Capacity Planner

Expedient is hiring a Software Compliance and Capacity Planner to join the cloud infrastructure team in either Indianapolis, IN or in our Pittsburgh, PA.  Our cloud infrastructure team is responsible for the overall lifecycle of all Expedient enterprise cloud platforms.  The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a broad range of IT disciplines including: cloud computing, software and hardware components and licensing, planning and capacity recommendations, procurement and vendor relationship management.

This position requires an individual who is organized with superior data analysis and reporting skills.  Additionally, the position requires experience in software licensing and vendor management as well as technology infrastructure management and forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect and prepare monthly software usage statistics for financial reporting
  • Analyze and report on available capacities across multiple different information technology platforms and submit recommendations to augment software and hardware infrastructure elements
  • Collect and report client usage statistics highlighting quota usage and resource overages
  • Prepare hardware purchase requests for submission to the management team for review and approval
  • Review vendor software agreements and provide usage-based audit trails for the Expedient Enterprise Cloud
  • Audit, negotiate and renew various maintenance agreements for active infrastructure
  • Provide reconciliation reports to internal teams for contractual compliance
  • Maintain asset and inventory reports for all devices in the hardware lifecycle process
  • Excellent written and communication skills are required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Information Technology, finance or related discipline
  • Minimum of two years vendor management and/or purchasing experience, preferably in a technology environment
  • Aptitude to generate reports from a complex information technology environment
  • Must possess strong organizational skills along with proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including developing and using pivot tables
  • Proven ability to understand software licensing and related technical deployment and utilization
  • Experience with information technology capacity planning is highly preferred
  • Experience with supplier management and software agreements
